Rooting Instructions are posted on this website. Printed copies are available for $2.00 with order, $3.00 and a self addressed, stamped envelope, by themselves. Otherwise, The Grape Grower contains COMPLETE propagation and growing instructions.
CUTTING SEASON The main cutting season is from early January to as late as early June, if stock is available. Though it isn't recommended, a few people have started cuttings as late as August and held the potted vines over until the following spring, to be planted out then.
WHEN IS MY ORDER SHIPPED? Cuttings for orders are set aside in order. However, if you place an order that contains varieties that have to come from another source, the order will be delayed until all the varieties in the order are available. I do everything myself and in the past I could fill orders as I made cuttings. HOWEVER, if the weather becomes warm too early, I have to spend all my time getting cuttings into cold storage and can't ship until that is done. If that happens, I may not be able to start shipping until mid to late February, if not later. If you must have your order within a certain time frame, please be sure there are alternate varieties listed in the event not all are ready on time. PLEASE be patient about your order.
NO INTERNATIONAL ORDERS. I DO NOT SHIP OUTSIDE THE U.S. I CAN direct you to sources in Canada and some parts of Europe.
PLEASE LIST ALTERNATE VARIETIES IN CASE ANY ARE IN SHORT SUPPLY. The online list will be kept updated as to availability as much as possible to keep customers informed. If no alternatives are listed on the order, something that is as close to the ordered variety as possible will be sent. If an order includes an out-of-stock variety and the customer won't accept an alternate, there will be a $5.00 fee on the refund. If you aren't sure, send an e-mail or call.
NON-LISTED VARIETIES. If you are looking for a new variety you have heard of, if it's not on my list, I don't have it to sell. If you are seeking something I have listed in the past, I may have some available, but ASK before ordering such
STORING ORDERS. Your cuttings are packed so YOU can store them several weeks at 32 to 45 degrees (0 to 7 degrees Celcius), until rooting time. Grape cuttings travel well, even in cold weather, having no tender roots to freeze. I DO NOT HOLD ORDERS. When an order is ready, I have to ship it as I don't have space to hold it unless you want to pay an extra fee.varieties.
SEEKING RARE VARIETIES. I can suggest places for you to look, but if you want me to search for rare or very unusual varieties, it will cost extra.
Replacement Policy It is easy to root most grape cuttings, IF THE DIRECTIONS ARE FOLLOWED PROPERLY, so there must be tangible evidence, in my opinion, that the failure was due to something that happened prior to the customer receiving the cuttings, before I will consider replacements. This may sound "hardnosed", but as a one-man business, I've yet to come up with anything more practical.
Rooted Vines I sell only unrooted cuttings. Putting roots on them is up to you. That's why we provide instructions.

Notes: While "Orange Muscat" sounds like an intriguing grape, I do NOT recommend it. It is a wine type, not a table grape, and the berries crack and rot second only to Muscat Blanc, the worst in my collection. It only grows well in a few dry climates. Also, "Orange Muscat" refers to the orange-peel like flavor. A much better muscat table grape is Muscat Hamburg.
