Spartan Seedless Grapes

Spartan Seedless Grapes

Spartan Seedless  (Seibel 13047 x Perlette). Bred by the late private grape breeder Cecil Farris near Lansing, Michigan.  This white seedless has large compact clusters of firm, vinifera quality berries on a vigorous vine.  Three clusters per shoot is common. Berries are small, about like those of Canadice.   Mr. Farris claimed the vines were perfectly hardy and disease resistant for him, but the variety hasn't been around long enough for there to be many reports to verify this.  Ripens about with Himrod, or a few days later.  Hardiness unknown, but it should be good to at least -10 to -15 F based on the parentage.  Prune to two bud spurs on cordons.  A  W  T   E
