Pearl de Csaba. A Hungarian variety, this white grape has a distinct, if mild, muscat flavor. The small berries on small clusters ripen very early, among the first vinifera grapes ready. In warm climates it is mainly a table grapes, but in cooler growing seasons, such as in the Pacific Norhwest in western Washington State, the sugar and acid balance is good enough to make a pleasant muscat wine. The vines have moderate to slightly low vigor, depending on the soil. Prune it to three bud spurs on cordons.
